We believe that community is essential & important.
Block Party Co. isn’t just for kids’ birthdays anymore.
We’re continuing the build, bringing our mobile creative workshops into senior living and memory care communities.
Creativity doesn’t have an age limit
At Block Party Co., we started by reimagining kids’ birthday parties. Now, we’re continuing the build—bringing our mobile creative workshops into senior living and memory care communities.
Our sessions are designed to spark joy, connection, and creativity in a way that feels both playful and purposeful. We swap out the pressure of “parties” for the ease of guided, hands-on activities that support residents’ cognitive health, motor skills, and social connection.
-
We come to you—tables full of color, structure, and possibility. Residents gather in small groups, each session guided by a facilitator (and often joined by our Junior Builder, the original inspiration behind Block Party Co.). Together, we create.
Sometimes it’s free play, sometimes it’s a themed build, and sometimes it’s a collaborative project designed to stay on display in your community spaces. -
Cognitive stimulation: problem-solving, memory recall, focus.
Motor skill support: gentle hand-eye coordination.
Social connection: laughter, teamwork, and shared storytelling.
Emotional impact: nostalgia, pride, and joy in seeing creations come to life -
Creative Hour – simple themed builds designed for fun and flow.
Memory Builders – story-based projects like “build your childhood home” or “favorite vacation spot.”
Collaborative Displays – large builds created together and showcased in common areas. -
We’ve seen how a box of bricks can open up a room: laughter, conversation, focus, and storytelling. Residents who haven’t built with LEGO bricks in decades suddenly find themselves remembering the feel of the pieces, the satisfaction of putting something together, the joy of creating side by side. Others who need a gentler, more accessible option can use DUPLO bricks—larger, easier to handle, but just as colorful and full of possibility. Every station we set up is designed with accessibility in mind, so no one is left out.
When we come into your community, we bring more than bins of bricks. We bring a structure for connection. Tables are set with themes and simple guides, but the heart of it is open play. Some sessions invite residents to build something personal—like a childhood home, a favorite place, or a memory they carry. Others are collaborative: a garden wall, a holiday display, or a community creation that lives in the common area as a reminder of what they built together.
The benefits stretch far beyond the builds themselves. Hands-on play supports fine motor skills in a way that feels fun, not clinical. The act of sorting, stacking, and snapping pieces stimulates focus and coordination. Story-based projects spark memory recall and encourage residents to share pieces of their lives with each other. And perhaps most importantly, the process brings people together. Conversation flows naturally. There’s laughter. There’s pride. There’s a lightness that lingers even after the session ends.

Let’s Work Together
At Block Party Co., we believe creativity belongs at every table. We’ve seen how a simple brick can spark conversation, laughter, and connection—whether it’s a child building for the first time or a resident rediscovering the joy of play after decades away.
Our Community Sessions are built for accessibility and inclusion. DUPLO bricks give residents with limited dexterity the freedom to build with ease, while classic LEGO bricks invite others to dive into something familiar yet fresh. No one is left out, and every resident has the chance to create something they’re proud of.
We handle the details—bringing the supplies, setting up stations, guiding the flow, and cleaning up afterward. All you need to do is open the door and watch your community light up.
If you’re ready to bring something new, meaningful, and joy-filled into your activity calendar, we’d love to build with you.
